To visualize the value SeismicAI can bring, we offer this tool that allows you to select target sites where we estimate how much warning time our system will provide before the destructive seismic waves hit the target.
To start simulating, please use the search to choose the location that you are interested in.
Note that all markers can be moved around at any time
The map shows the estimated lead times that the system will provide if an earthquake would have happened with the epicenter at the location of the earthquake marker.
The caption on the circles represents the maximal warning time that the system will provide to any location within the circle.
The lead time estimation table shows the lead time each target site will receive and also an estimation of how much time other regional systems provide.
Other systems require at least 4 stations to issue an alert. If there are less than 4 stations, there will be no estimation.
You can disable or enable the station by right clicking on the station marker. A disabled station will not be included in the simulation
In advanced mode, the uncertain epicenter regions calculated by the different seismic algorithms are presented on the map. The uncertainty regions is presented by polygons in different colors.
An uncertain region represents an area in which the algorithm locates the earthquake epicenter (it can be anywhere in the area). The smaller the area, the more accurate the location estimate will be and as a result more accurate magnitude and expected shaking at the target sites.
